Sairee Beach is definitely THE beach spot on the island. Many restaurants, bars, resorts, and diving schools are located in the area. The nightlife there must be energetic on many days of the week. There is even a diving and snorkelling spot not too far from the shore if you're into that. Plus the sunsets there are amazingly beautiful!

The beach itself is fairly narrow. The water is shallow even up to where the boats are docked. It's best if your diving school or resort has a spot reserved because it might be hard to get a space on busy days.
